As a result of many years of suffering from childhood injuries, Ive experienced depression that I have articulated in paintings expressing hops. My passion for my Mexican heritage drives me to create bright, colorful pieces that remind me of childhood summers in Puerto Vallarta. My newest pieces are mixed medium with strong overtones of contemporary Mexican art, which I have grown to admire. One of my goals is to create positive connections with the Latino community, especially with my Latino students.
